Our tempered Glass diffusers can even enhance shelving by laying flat on the surface and securing them down with doubled-sided tape/velcro or other method.  They can reasonably support dispersed non-excessive weight on top of them as long as they won’t suffer any rugged use / abuse. Not heavy duty.
